Review content:
We had Trout Glass install our glass shower doors and they leaked from day one. They came back a couple of times to make adjustments and then we finally got an email saying it was costing them too much money to keep coming out and they put the blame for the leaks on the plumber who installed the base. The water is not leaking from the base, it's leaking from the frame-less shower we had installed on our 34x34 base. I did sign a waver saying that some European doors may leak but I was thinking maybe a drop here or a drip there. We now have to keep sponges on each side of our doors or the water runs onto the floor.||[]||[]We did call our plumber and he said he did not install the base incorrectly. Even our tile guy said the leaking is caused by the shower doors. We have since had other Glass companies come out and they said they would have never recommended us getting the kind of doors we have. The current swing doors are screwed down into the base and we've had numerous companies look at our situation and say when it comes to plumbing, "When you screw down, you screw up." For us to properly have our situation fixed, we would have to replace the base and rip off the bottom layer of tiles in the shower. If the plumber can't line up the drain exactly, they would have to come in from the ceiling of our lower level to get to the drain. ||[]||[]We emailed Trout Glass and told them we would like new doors or a refund but they said there has been too much time that has passed to do anything. Really? We've been trying from day one to get it fixed but they washed their hands of our problem after the 2nd month. For the past year and a half we've been living with the leaking but I've had enough of seeing sponges on our floor and called another company to replace the doors properly.||[]||[]I wish Trout Glass would have been honest with the design of our doors and backed up their product 100%. It seems all they were worried about was the sale. Very disappointed.
