My family has used Z-Tech for more than 5 years and have never been disappointed. I have some experience working on cars (mostly building motors) and would check the quotes, diagnoses, etc. Z-Tech gave to my mom, and now I trust them enough to not even bother. They've done transmission and suspension work for the family cars, as well as a myriad of basic maintenance services, and I can't remember ever having to go back to have them fix something that wasn't done right (nor have they tried repair something that didn't need it). For background, these were all imports (Japanese and German, both econo and luxury brands). Some of the time I supplied my own parts (I got wholesale prices through a racing club), but their charge for parts has been reasonable in my experience. For anyone that is constantly worried about being ripped off by unscrupulous mechanics, go to Z-Tech and feel safe again. I can't emphasize enough how trustworthy and competent these folks are. I drive all the way from downtown Minneapolis because even though there may be other shops that are more convenient to get to, I doubt they are anywhere as convenient to deal with.
Pros: HONEST, Polite, knowledgeable. Good with imports.
Cons: Sometimes they use less expensive parts to help you keep the bill down, but there are instances where I would rather pay more and get better quality (e.g. brake pads)
