Review content:
This Mexican restaurant is located on the corner of Jefferson & Denbigh, where Chi Chi's used to be . We were seated immediately, receiving the complimentary chips, salsa and a white cream dip. The kids dove in, liking both sauces. While there are no children's menus or crayons, "kid meals," both Mexican and standard American fare, are offered on the regular menu.
There is nothing fancy here, but the portions are generous, prices reasonable and the food delicious. Our server checked on us regularly without being overbearing, and other servers stopped to speak with our children, making them feel quite grown up. I noticed the servers stopping to chat with the other families dining that night as well. To me, that's great service.
We didn't save room for dessert, nor did we venture into the roomy bar, but plan to return one evening without the kids to sample both.
