Review content:
My husband and I have dined in most of the steakhouses in Seattle and this is our favorite. The chateau-briand is indescribable. It is beyond a doubt the steak that we crave and they prepare it properly at El Gaucho. We order it medium-rare, as it should be and then we leave it to El Gaucho's skilled staff to take care of it. It comes to the table where they cover it in juices, rubs and spices. Once you cut your first tender morsel and place it in your mouth, you know that this is what steak should be. The wicked shrimp appetizer is spicy and exceedingly tasteful. The tableside caesar salad for two is delectable, as is the bananas foster dessert also done tableside. El Gaucho excels in tableside presentation, but they are just the sideshow, surpassed by the succulence of their exceptional cuisine.
Pros: Dark Dining Room, Unsurpassed Staff, Hard working grillers
Cons: Expensive
