Recently I was looking at long-term care facilities for an aging family member who lives in the Yakima area. Visiting Emerald Care Convalescent Center was not a pleasant experience. The atmosphere of this facility is as drab as their carpets. The residents appeared as sad as the food they serve up in this place, and the level of care administered to them was even more distasteful. This is no place to spend your golden years, especially when in need of long term care. I was very disturbed by what I saw and can say that other nursing homes/long-term-care facilities in the Yakima area are much better than this one.
