Review content:
I have lived in several areas and always frequented the "best" (usually the most expensive) salons. I honestly don't understand why prices are what they are here; when I made the first appointment I asked to be paired with someone who specialized in my type of hair. It only became apparent to me later that I was paired with someone who has lots of open appointments. The cuts were horrible (my fault for returning) and color better but three times the price. There are no amenities at this salon, and it's very generic, crowded, and loud. The last straw was when I was at a standard appointment for FOUR HOURS because the owners called an unannounced meeting of all the "available" employees during that time. They sent around someone to provide a free manicure while we waited, but I found this extremely disrespectful of my time. I was forced to wait (what choice did I have? My hair was in foils), did not receive an apology from the owners, and was not offered any reduced rate. This salon thrives in its reputation. My best advice is to not succumb to the notion that "expensive equals good". It's not the case at Rumors!
