Whenever I visit Northampton, I make sure to stop in The Mercantile. I love this shop. They have some of the neatest little knick knacks and little fun gifts. They're incense and jewelry collections are also great, and you can always find a unique top or skirt in here. The staff is nice, and no one really cares if you linger in there for a while. It's a great place to stop in if you're looking for a unique gift, or just something a little different or out of the ordinary. My only word of caution is that they usually have incense burning, so be careful if that kind of thing bothers you.
