Jakes is right on the edge of 88 and D, which is easily one of the best places to drive drunk and avoid police. I think that's one reason why Northern hicks frequent this place. If you're with a hot girl, expect her to be stared at for at least 5 minutes. The tap beers are overpriced and undoubtedly served from a filthy nozzle. The food is okay, as far as sandwiches go, but if you order anything aside from 'the usual,' expect something stale and/or sloppy. This place isn't exactly underwhelming but it's just extremely awkward. The bloody mary bar is a good idea and is filled with unique items, but the drinks are still too expensive. Is it any wonder why so few people drink the bloody marys here? Pros: location, bloody mary bar Cons: merchandising, overpriced beers, food
