Review content:
For a one time trip, our zoo is expensive. It costs more than eleven dollars apiece for grownups and not much less for children over three. Buy the family membership if you intend to go more than twice in a year.
That said, the new dolphin exhibit is gorgeous, there are plenty of outdoor play areas as well as exhibits (some with water features), and it's small enough that you can do it in a day.
They do allow you to bring food in, so save money and bring a picnic. There are plenty of tables, some with shade umbrellas.
