Review content:
First and foremost, I always appreciate the friendly and helpful staff at Smiles of Chattanooga. The dental hygienists are genuinely interested in getting to know me and my family. They remember things going on in my life and ask questions to follow up. This is very important in establishing and maintaining a great dentist-patient relationship. Smiles of Chattanooga has accomplished this with great stride. Unfortunately during a recent visit, I was disappointed with the lack of explanation given by my hygienist. She seemed experienced and knowledgable, but failed to provide any warning of what she was preparing to do and little explanation of why. There was a new bacteria testing device used on my teeth and only after I asked did she provide an explanation. After testing for bacteria, she told me what my score of bacteria was and hands me a paper with a scale of the level of risk. She then explains where mine was and said I needed to purchase a treatment plan. I could call back and let them know at my convenience. I asked questions to clarify and left with a somewhat knowledgable understanding, but still felt disappointed. I have never been disappointed by my experiences at Smiles of Chattanooga and this recent visit does not change my opinion. I only want to suggest more warning and explanation of exactly what you are doing and why. If there is a treatment plan suggested, explain other options of treatment and explain benefits of each.
