Competitive Home Mortgage (I found them initially on Bankrate.com) is a mortage company that does loans anywhere in Ohio...They are based around Cleveland.... Dont let the fact they aren't local scare you away.. I am glad it didn't do that to me!
I just closed my loan TODAY in Vandalia , OH, and everyone was impressed with my interest rate (5.375%--when national average is almost at 6%), and a little over $2000 in closing cost..
Everyone was telling me to beware of that low interest rate because it sounded too good to be true.. So I was nervous every day until closing, expecting to get ripped.. But Rick Ritt from Competitive never did anything to make me suspicous, he was great, and everything at closing was the same as in my loan application!
My application was complete and we were ready to close in one week! We just had to wait another week on the title company...
In short, I got a very low interest rate with no points (everyone local would offer right around 6%) , average closing costs, etc...
