I took my sister, who was visiting from San Francisco, to Spa Gregorie's for the first time. I wanted to treat her to a nice spa experience. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Our massages were good. However, the rest of the experience was not and we wanted to leave immediately after our services. Some lady had a REAL golden retriever dog in the quiet room and was talking on her cell phone. When someone asked her about it, she said she had just picked it up from the pound. I love dogs, but not in a spa and not straight from the pound. When I asked my massage therapist about it, she told me it was a stuffed animal and made me feel like I was crazy. The women's locker room was dirty, the dirty hamper was overflowing and there was a used bandaid on the floor in front of the lockers. Then when we checked out, I asked the ladies at the front desk about the dog. They were quite rude in their response and said it was a "dog in training" and the owner was trying to socialize it. Really? In a spa? The dog did not have any special garments on it that identified it as a dog in training or a service dog. Last I checked, you don't take a dog to a spa to socialize. You take it to a dog park or somewhere else outdoors where dogs are allowed. What a waste of money!
