Businiess name:  Great Lakes Science Ctr
Review by:  Jen Z.
Review content:
The Great Lakes Science Center has hands-on, interactive displays that teach students about science. It has two large sections on the environment (and the dangers of pollution) and the human body (with an interactive display showing how the heart works). It even has an indoor tornado! Kids learn while actively participating, so they build knowledge without even knowing it. The Great Lakes Science Center is best known for their IMAX theater, which is a huge dome that cost millions of dollars and takes the concept of "surround sound" to a whole new level. If only all movie theathers had this visual and auditory experience! The movies are superbly filmed and interesting, like the climb up Mount Everest, or an Outer Space feature. Their gift shop is overpriced, but has neat space knick knacks, cool glass objects, and different rocks to collect. They have astronautical foods, too, like preserved ice cream, pizza, and french fries that are edible in a zero gravity zone.
