Look for Payton's True Value Hardware on Maine Avenue in Lakeside- A great small town hardware store with small town service! I try to support our local small town shops as much as I can. We have home Depot and Lowe's in the next town over- only about a 10 minute drive, but Payton's has what I need 90% of the time, and they have always been cheaper than the chain stores. I have been having one broken sprinkler pipe or head after another at my house, and it is so much easier to run to Payton's- they have a good selection of plumbing parts, without the overkill of Home depot(try finding that one little connector you need among the 5000 or so HD carries- I can easily waste 30 minutes looking, plus the drive time- Payton's I can be in and out in 5-10 minutes! They carry some kitchen goods too, and an old time popcorn machine sits in the front- you can grab a bag to munch on while you shop, or on your way home- no charge!
