This is my very favorite place to splurge on a treat for myself. Don't let the name fool you, there is chocolate abound in The Nut Shoppe. THE best chocolate. All the candy is made on site by the owner and his family. They even make their own caramel. The softest, creamiest caramel you will ever find.
My personal favorite are the turtles. I typically don't eat nuts but these are so good. He crushes the pecans and covers them with his own caramel and chocolate. They are about $11.00 a pound and worth every penny.
These candies make great Christmas gifts! The Nut Shoppe will even put in "gift boxes" with a ribbon. Just make sure to place your holiday orders by the first of November. They get swamped FAST and last year stopped taking orders a couple weeks before Christmas.
