Review content:
Well, I did my research after getting inadequate care at another vet office. Deer Run Veterinary Hospital and Hyannis Animal Hospital were both recommended by multiple people (nurses, doctors, dog trainers, dog owners, dog daycare providers). I chose Deer Run Vet because the veterinarians have a record of integrating complementary forms of medicine (chiropractic and accupuncture). I drove all the way from Hyannis and it was so worth it!
The front office staff are knowledgable, kind, and tolerant. The vets are thorough and listen to me. I may have humored them a bit because I need a vet who can deal with me who provides care to human mammals and grew up on a farm. I knew what my dog needed to get a correct diagnosis and they were not threatened by my assessment and allowed me to participate in the evaluation. I am so grateful for the correct diagnosis. It has been months of treatment failure.
I was not criticisized for using a raw food diet or bringing my dog to the chiropractor for the back pain. I was teased a little bit for not fixing my 4# 13oz dog because I did not want anesthesia used on her but they were very good natured.
I know a number of people who put their dogs lives in the hands of the vets at Deer Run Vet and have been very pleased with the care they have received.
