Review content:
Okay, this review is for the Ahwatukee location:
Customer Service is the supposedly one of Kohl's main strong points, but in fact, it's one of its weaknesses. Maybe it's because it has so many newly hired employees or maybe they just don't train the employees very well, but people don't know where anything is. I think maybe this just tends to happen a lot in large-size department stores: workers are sometimes lost, it takes longer for managers to respond to needy customers, workers aren't familiar with all the store policies.
In fact, I worked are Kohl's before. I have to say that the working environment was spectacular compared to the customer environment. I know a lot of employees were a bit sullen-faced when dealing with customers, but would automatically light up when talking with a co-worker or supervisor.
Kohl's would be a lot better if it were a bit more organized.
On the consumer note, the products they sell are pretty good. I know a lot of people are in love with the sales. I think they're okayyy....I'm sure I'd like them a lot more if I were a middle-aged mom though. Kohl's mainly a adult female customer-oriented store. Their magazines and catalogs have the womens and misses sections first.
Generally, I think their sales are way too overrated. Sure, the prices might be nice, but the overall quality of what you're buying is not. So technically, it's not that great of a deal if you're going to buy something that you'll never wear. Like neon orange shorts. In size 17. *puke face*
Oh yeah, they're REALLY into selling their Kohl's Charge cards, so watch out. The cashiers (which is what position I had when I was working there) are highly pressured to open a certain amount of accounts per day. It really sucks for the employees and customers think that the cashier is some low-life salesperson trying to take advantage of them. In my opinion, they need to have more benefits for the charge card, because the only benefits you'll get is like 10% off your first purchase. Then everything else is coupons. Which only go up to 15%. To me, that's not worth it.
