Dr Katz is knowledgeable, thorough, and has all the latest equipment, including the way-cool Optimap. Amazing a town the size of Galveston is fortunate enough to have such an excellent and modern optometrist. However, I would not buy glasses there. Both of the two pair I purchased had lenses that were too small for the frame, resulting in the lenses falling out. While TSO says they fix them for free, after multiple returns to the shop - they are not fixed. Katz just says lenses falling out is part of his business. I would get your eyes examined there, but take your prescription and buy your glasses elsewhere.
