Who knew that behind this tiny store front, there is the most fabulous down home restaurant with the most fantastic food and service?! I must admit, from the outside, it doesn't look like much. Don't let this tiny meager looking place fool you. This place is amazing. The food is out of this world. This isn't some "salady froo froo" place but a real down home type. Items on the menu that I'll come back for are the fried chicken, collard greens, fried catfish, and Lemon Meringue pie. The fried chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, and collard greens were out of this world delicious. My Parents and I discovered the place when we were on the lookout for a cute hole-in-the-wall Mom & Pop, type place that had great Maryland fried chicken. Babe, this place is it! I could die today knowing I had the best collards and chicken on Earth. Honestly, I promise you I'd be able to eat a gallon of those collards. The rolls were home made yeast buns with a beautiful buttery crust. The cook hand dipped the chicken right there as we ordered it. The prices are quite reasonable. Overall, this was a perfect experience. Ladies, the rest room is gorgeous. The entire place is spotless and the staff are so friendly and gracious. Even the unsweetened iced tea was perfect. I ate it...ALL. Tomorrow, I can graze on salad knowing these calories eaten at this meal were well worth it. The gym is made for meals like these.
