Businiess name:  TitleMax Title Loans

Review content:
I needed money quickly and went to TitleMax in Dickson, TN. They lent me the state max of $2500 with monthly interest of 274.75. This is 8.99% per month with an additional monthly fee. I paid two monthly payments of $274.74 since the first two months was interest only. The third month was $399.75 with $274.75 being interest. I had decided to pay the $2500.00 off the day after my payment was due on the second payment and the associate stated I owed the entire months interest of $274.75 even though it was one day into the month. I decided to pay the $2500.00 then and the other $274.75 the next business day since the only payment method was a money order or cashiers check, no personal checks. Well, with the $274.75 remaining, TitleMax had made a new contract and added an additional $30.00 to the amount owed. This was interest on top of interest I would have been paying. In short, I asked for the $2500.00 cashiers check back and I paid the loan 28-days later since the amount owed is the same as if I paid the loan on the 1st day. However the difference was I didn't have to pay the extra $30.00 as I would have if I paid the loan on day-1 instead of waiting the 30-days. TitleMax was penalizing me for paying the loan early!! Buyers beware - this is a loan legal shark business with annual interest of 108%.
