I was in the mood for a burger and I figured Bleecker street has plenty of bars and burger joints. Then I remembered reading that The Mussel Pot was starting lunch so maybe they have a burger on the menu. I went there for dinner a few weeks ago and had a great meal so I figured it should be good. Oh was I happy I went there instead of 5 guys or one of the many regular bars. This burger was a masterpiece. "Ground rib-eye & NY strip topped w/truffled spottocenere cheese pancetta crisp, tomato confit & pickled red onion". WOW. And the hand cut fries were great also. I want to go back and try the grilled cheese next time.
