Completely disappointed with the way AAA of Colorado handled my last towing. I have been a member for about 8 months and have never had to use my membership until a few weeks ago. I had a starting problem with my Jeep Wrangler and needed it towed to my mechanic. Well, it took almost three hours for the tow truck to arrive, it was a good thing I was home and not stuck on the side of the road. The weather was warm and clear, so there was certainly no weather related issues to back up ACE towing three hours. Ace towing finally arrived. The driver was very rude and condescending about my plight. I guess he thought I should diagnose the problem on my own and fix it myself. I am no auto expert, hence the reason for tow to my mechanic. He took the vehicle to shop and dropped it off. I picked up my Jeep a few days later, it needed a starter. When I got to shop, my trusted mechanic which I have used for years, informed me that the driver had broken my door. I called AAA to file a claim. I was denied the claim. While I admitted there was a problem with the exterior door handle, door only opened from the inside. AAA refused to pay for the inside housing that was broken by driver upon delivery. Crazy thing about it is the part cost (at a Jeep Dealership) $18.99. I have purchased and replaced the part out of my own pocket. It seems ridiculous to me that any business in today's economy would risk bad feedback/publicity for less than 20 dollars. This is not the only negative review I will be writing. Ace Towing, you are NEXT. I am a very persistent person. You see, when this is all said and done, I will have spent more time than the 20 dollars it cost me, but at this point it is about PRINCIPLE!!!!. Please keep this review in mind when considering purchasing AAA of Colorado. There are other auto clubs out there that I am sure will treat there customers with more appreciation. I WILL NOT be renewing my membership when mine expires. Jake Stagner Edit Remove
