Review content:
I went to Aveda Institute De Bellas in July 2011 a week before I had my hair permed to discuss what I wanted with an instructor. I wanted large curlers because I didn't like tight curls, I wanted body in my hair. When the day came for the perm I was assigned to a young man who had never given perms, and instead of being available if he needed her. She wonders off or disappears into the back room, she never really checked up on what he was doing. The poor guy would have to look for her. We were both frustrated, she had him use the pink and lavender rollers. Which were small and I didn't know that they had larger rollers until my hair was being rinsed and another lady was sitting there with large blue rollers. My hair turned out burnt it felt like hay and I had a tight perm (exactly what I didn't want.) Which eventually the hair that I had grown out for two years had to be cut by another stylist with experience at another salon. I felt so humiliated, the instructor said that it looked great and would relax in a couple of weeks. WRONG! I will never refer anyone to that school, the instructor was unprofessional and in lala land. Don't go there for a perm.
