Businiess name:  Green Mill Restaurant & Bar

Review content:
We've often frequented the Green Mill restaurants in St. Paul, and even had the pleasure of living within walking distance of the Woodbury, MN Green Mill. Walking a few blocks to get to a delicious high-calorie carb fest always eased my diet conscience! Some dear friends recently gave us a Green Mill gift certificate, so I looked forward to some more yummy (and this time FREE!) food. After seeing a consistently packed parking lot at the Hudson, Wisconsin Green Mill restaurant, we decided to stop in and give it a try. Were we disappointed! We took our youngest two children along and froze in the back dining area. We asked for the air conditioning to be turned down, but it didn't seem to make any difference. I rummaged around in the back of our car and found a couple of big sweatshirts in a goodwill give-away bag and wrapped up our little ones so they wouldn't freeze. It made it tough to find their mouthes to feed them.... The slow service, combined with the cold temps, made waiting for dinner with little ones less than fun. We didn't order the deep dish pizza, which takes even longer. The pizza finally arrived, and we were ravenous (translated: not picky!), but the pizza was a big disappointment. I've had pizza in Italy, and I'm up on the whole "sparse cheese" thing, but this had cheese only in the very middle, about four inches in diameter, and only sparse sauce from there on out to the overly chewy crust. It was so bad that my four year old, who normally loves pizza, didn't even like it. Maybe we hit them on a bad, cold day, but I left wondering why the parking lot is often full. I see no reason to go back.
