I live near this Johnny Rockets but the first time I went was during the World Cup because every other bar in the neighborhood was packed. The Sports Lounge half of the place is upstairs and I had a great experience! The food was exactly what I was craving, a big juicy burger, some fries and a cold beer to watch the game. They have a special "Rocket Beer" which is Coors for $2! It is rare to find beer that cheap in Manhattan. The walls are lined with flat screen TVs and they have personal sound boxes you can bring to your booth. I had a perfectly unobstructed view of the game and although the place was pretty packed, but the crowd wasn't obnoxious like the 2 bars I tried to go into before coming here. This place is super clean, the staff is nice, and it's a fun, mid-priced, casual place to take a date. Or watch a Mets game with guys. I've been stopping by every weekend for a drink now. More people should jump on this pony, it won't disappoint.
Pros: Cheap beer, good food, friendly service
Cons: needs more people on the weekends!!
