I went to the emergency room after moving to Florida. I had a first floor apartment in the worst neighborhood I have ever seen (or smelled) in my entrie life. Someone aimed a device at me while I was sitting in my bedroom causing my eyes to go in different directions. I told the doctor this with no description of what the device might be. He had me admitted to the mental health hospital next door and told me he had "Baker Act" me. No one spoke to me the whole time I was there. I was restrained in the ER by SEVEN people and injected in the leg. I am a small woman and would not have required more than one man to restrain me if I was out of control (which I was not). I was told after sitting in the mental health facility for three days that I would have to go to court. I don't see how I would have a chance in court not knowing what the whole thing is about.
