If you're a flatlander, don't come here for the weekend. The altitude will suck every ounce of fun out of you...You need an extended stay, with the first few days including doing nothing, or you will hate this place.
everyone in my party of 6, from young to old suffered from the altitude...and all of us have been all over. We pulled up stakes, and headed for Snowmass after 2 days...where you can sleep at a reasonable altitude and let your body replenish and get some 02!
Liked the runs, the scenery was beautiful, the runs solitary...just couldn't hack it. If you live at 1000 ft elev. take a pass...nothing is fun when you are sick from the altitude. I've skied the West for 40 years, and this is the only place that ever did me in!
Pros: solitary runs, beautiful, short lines
Cons: altitude, altitude, altitude
