Review content:
I took my two dogs to Wendy's to be groomed for the first and last time recently. I have to say, in 20 years of owning dogs and having them groomed, this was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had. For starters, the place reeks of a horrible, unclean odor as soon as you walk in. Parking is scarce. When I went to pick up my dogs, I noticed the lobby area had turned into a playroom/dining room for one of the employees' children. I certainly understand that children need to accompany their parents to work on occassion, but the table, couch, and floor were so unkempt that we felt as if WE were interrupting. She certainly could have apologized for the mess since she must not have had the time to straighten it up (or just didn't care). As I waited for Wendy to go get my dogs from the back, one of the dogs in the grooming room wandered out into the lobby area. The other groomer came to get the dog by yanking the dog by the ear and pulling him/her back into the grooming area by his/her ear. I was appalled and hoped my own dogs were not treated that way during their visit. When we saw the dogs and their "grooming", we were quite shocked to see our Bichon looked like a poodle and our mutt had the choppiest cut I had ever seen on her. Also, Wendy charged the same for both dogs, $45.00 each, which seemed expensive. Our old groomer only charged $30.00 and $35.00 for the dogs, and we don't mind paying more, as long as the dogs are well groomed. We asked if she had hand scissored our Bichon, and she replied "No, you can cut them with just clippers." As we reluctantly tried to pay the bill, we pulled out our debit card and were told that she doesn't take plastic...of course Wendy's doesn't take plastic...that would be too professional.
