Review content:
The salon is nicely designed, the receptionist was pleasant. I have no complaints on the junior stylist's execution of the shampoo and cut. I loved how all the products smelled. I appreciated that only one light product was used to style my hair. The finished product looked wonderful. The only thing that could have made my experience better was a more social stylist. Overly chatty can be annoying, but stoic silence made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. During the whole process, beginning to end, my stylist said a handful of things, strictly about my cut and style preferences. I could hear the polite chatter of other stylists and customers, but my stylist never even asked me, "how was your day." Typically the stylist asks a variety of mild questions, like where are you from, where do you work, what are your plans, etc. I got nothing. I tried making a few light comments, but the only response was a half-smile if I got any acknowledgement at all. So 5, 10 minutes would go by in uncomfortable silence. I also know they are supposed to promote product, but she said nothing about what she used on me. I had to stop her and ask her what styling product she used. When she walked me out to the lobby, and asked me if I needed any products, she didn't suggest the one she had just put in my hair.
