Review content:
I was a patient of his for over a year because he was the closest provider that was covered under my insurance plan at the time. Perhaps something has changed with his practice since that time and I truly hope so. I changed providers after a couple of cleanings and one visit with Dr. Cheney himself.
His office was not modern at all. I had to wait a long time past my appointment times just to see the dental assistant for a cleaning. Each time I walked out with bleeding gums because she was so aggressive with her scraping. The one time I saw the dentist for a filling, he came in with his mask on. I can honestly say I never saw his whole face before, during, or after the procedure. Although he seemed friendly with his staff, he never lowered his mask to introduce himself to me (as I was a new patient). My feeling is that he went from one patient to another without removing the mask or his gown.
I can't say that Dr. Cheney is a bad dentist or his staff is not well trained or educated. I can honestly say that their professional rapport was lacking. I never had the feeling that I was person to them, rather just one of many patients.
