My stylist did not do a thorough consultation prior to my haircut. Most clients aren't familiar with the types of haircuts and she did not get more information from me to assist with that. She washed my hair twice (barely) and I explained I had conditioner in my hair. When she went to blow dry my hair, it was obvious she was not familiar with my hair texture. She added water to keep my hair wet but proceeded to comb the wet hair into the blow-dried hair causing my hair to curl up giving her more work to do. I didn't want her to take off much because I wasn't sure how well she cut hair. When she was done, her instructor came over and asked if everything went well. How was i to answer that if I'm not familiar with haircuts or how it will look prior to curling? She then walked me downstairs to check out without ever styling or curling my hair. At that point, I was too disgusted to ask why my hair was only blow-dried but not styled. I spent an hour and a half at Aveda with no style, although my receipt states it was a haircut and style. I had to go home and style my hair. I will say, the products used were great and I plan to go back to purchase those items.
