Comming from a city with a large Italian population, I wouldn't call this a traditional itialian restaraunt. More of a new american cuisine with an italian flare. The food was superb, their chef is outstanding and has many ground breaking ideas to satisfy your taste buds! The ambience was very romantic and I can't say enough about the staff. This chefs version of gnocchi is by far the best my girlfriend and I have ever tasted. I'm not going to recommend any one dish as you won't be disappointed with any you chose. My girlfriend hardly ever utters a word about service but our waiter was so friendly and knowledgeable that my girlfreind spoke up to me and stated he deserves a higher than average tip...This restaurant has the whole package, romantic ambience, knowledgeable staff, superb wine list, and a magnificent chef! The IL Pasticcio could easily command a higher price for their food and service. What an excellent value.
