Businiess name:  Howard Johnson Motel
Review by:  Debbie R.
Review content:
My husband & I were traveling and needed an inexpensive place to stay for just one night. I did an internet search and found this motel which was priced moderately and the pictures on their web site looked fine. They were having an "internet special" where you could get $20 off the room price by making reservations over the internet. I did place a call directly to the motel to make sure it was what we were looking for and everything sounded okay. Upon arrival the place was horrible! The people hanging around it looked like people you wouldn't trust, the place was in total dissaray; doors hanging open from the rooms, people hanging over the balconies yelling at one another, even the parking lot had weeds growing out of the cracks! The rooms were filthy. We asked for a refund because of the dirty conditions and were told if reservations were made on the internet we couldn't get our money back and the person at the front desk was very rude. I contacted the home office of Howard Johnson but they have never responded to me. We thought that sticking to a known motel chain we would be okay, but were very surprised at the conditions at this motel!
