Left my hard drive for recover at FlashTech after a laptop crash. Not happy with service: Lack of transparency; Expensive; Did not solve the problem; Have doubts they have the know how to do this.
In a nutshell, After 4 days of taking the laptop and drive to them i was told that the scan process was 18% done (would take two additional weeks to complete at that pace) and they had no access to my data so far....
When inquired about the type of scan they were doing i was told it was "proprietary" and is not their policy to share details with customers... Well...
This made me very unconfortable and felt they did not know what they were doing so requested them my computer and hard drive back. Was charged $200 for “service” and got it back - still no access to disk, no access data…
At home run the standard windows recovery disk myself and actually had the disk back with access to ALL my data in a 2 HOURS.
Result: $200 and 4 days left at FlashTech
