Review content:
The Grand Ol' Creamery, on Grand Avenue, is probably the best source for ice cream in the Twin Cities. This old fashioned ice cream parlour is a St. Paul staple, boasting the oldest ice cream shop in the Twin Cities.
The ice cream there is literally, the creamiest, densest, richest ice cream around. The flavors vary somewhat, daily, but their Butter Pecan is without equal, and their Mexican Chocolate is delicious & exotic. G.O.C. homebakes their waffle cones, and unlike other places, these have a crunchy, crispy exterior, and a soft cake like center that makes them the thickest, most delicious waffle cones I've ever had. Each cone has a Whoppers Malt Ball in the bottom to stop any drips too.
At G.O.C. you can also get ice cream cakes. Their prices are reasonable, all the cakes are custom made & use their wonderful ice cream. The decorations aren't as fancy or trendy as you'd get at Ben & Jerrys but the quality is worth it.
All in all, G.O.C. is the place to get ice cream in the Twin Cities, if you're a diehard ice cream fanatic, or if you just want to try what real ice cream should tast like.
