Review content:
Chino Latino is a great restaurant located in Uptown. It features foods from the hot zones or areas around the equator, which means the menu is mainly comprised of food from the Caribbean and South Asia.
They have a large menu intended to be served family style. They offer little dishes to share as well as big dishes to share. My favorite little dish is the totopos. Totopos are fancy nachos that taste oh so good! I also like the Montego Bay Jerked Chicken, but it is a bit to spicey for my Scandinavian tongue!
About a month ago I hosted my husband's twent-fifth birthday at Chino. We orderded Fidel's Capitalist Pig Roast. It was amazing. The Pig Roast is for groups of ten or more and must be ordered at least 72 hours in advance. It was so good! The pig was carved in front of the table and served with rice, black beans and plantains. They also had a delicious mango sauce to go with the pig.
Chino Latino has valet parking available or you can try and find a spot on the street (good luck!) or park at Calhoun Commons.
TWO BIG Thumbs up to Chino!
