AVOID AT ALL COSTS! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I took two machine made rugs here for restoration after a house fire (smoke and water damage). I paid them $250 dollars to clean 1 small and 1 large rug I purchased while in Turkey (paid $1000 new). Although a steep price I figured a business specializing in rugs would be the best place for restoration.
After picking up the “cleaned” rugs and taking them home, I found them to still be dirty, very dirty. I assumed they were stained and could not be cleaned, but after very minor effort with a towel and water with dishsoap, they both cleaned easily. I returned to Nilipour with photos and explained. I was first told that they would reclean them for another $250. I asked for a partial refund, which they flatly refused.
They explained how they are very gentle as to not damage the rug, but admitted they could have been more aggressive to get out the dirt. They did offer to reclean for free, but refused to pick up or deliver (making me spend another hour to do this). Finally the owner came out, but was very rude. I showed him the pictures and he said, “Good, you should do the whole rug like that”. He said my “rugs were garbage” (machine made), he “cleans $50,000 rugs” and mine were not worth his time. It was an unbelievable experience.
Fearful that I would spend the time and effort to bring the rugs back only to again pick up uncleaned rugs, I decided to rent a carpet cleaner ($30 with shampoo). I was able to restore them to like new in less than one hour. Being close to Christmas I suppose the $250 was my gift to them.
