I grew up on the east coast and moved here in 96. My favorite meal is a good sub, chips and a cold soda. I have been looking a good sub shop since I moved out here and have found a few ok ones but nothing great. Thank you lord for hungry bear sub shop!
My fav is the steak and cheese with grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers. I get it with the works + yellow and white amrican cheese. The steak is super lean and fresh and the bread is oh so soft. All the veggies taste so good and the combanation of tempratures, textures and flavors gives me a total mouthgassam!
The hot cornbeef and pastrami with swiss, deli mustard, mayo, onions, pickles salt and pepper on their amazing thick cut rye bread is to die for!
They dice all the veggies so you get big flavorful chunks in every bite. You can see on their shelves that they use only the higest quality stuff like karft mayo, frenches mustard, franks buffalo sauce, vlasic kosher dill pickles even first cold press extra virgin olive oil and heinz fine red wine vinegar witch in my opinion really compiments the sandwiches.
There must be 100 subs on the menu and I have about 75 more to try but I have not gotten anything that I have not loved so far.
They have the most awesome drink and chip selections I have ever seen in my life.
At lunch there is usally a very, very long line but dont let that scare you. They have a lot of workers, (mostly hot chicks :) and they get you your food pretty fast. It is well worth the wait.
If you like good food like I do you need to run, not walk to this place.
PS. The large easily feeds 2, I usually eat half there and get the other half wraped to go so I can eat it for dinner.
