Review content:
I brought my car in after it kept dying. $1300 later and after being told I wouldn't be able to drive it off the lot if I didn't authorize them to make a number of repairs that had nothing to do with the initial issue I came to find that they had LIED about at least one of the things they said was wrong with my car. My husband had replaced the battery days before I brought it in, thinking it was a battery issue (Mike Shaw ended up replacing the alternator, which I do believe was due to be replaced and the cause of the issues-a $400 fix). After Mike Shaw told me that the brand new battery was unable to hold a charge, I took that batter and returned it to Pep Boys - they tested the battery right in front of me and nothing was wrong with it. This obviously called into question the remaining services done to my car while with Mike Shaw - when I brought this up to their service department they *literally* laughed at me and said they stand by their work. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT - they will take you for all that your worth.
