I have had years of painful, uncomfortable and overall disappointing experiences with a number of dentists and endodontists over the past 20 years. My experience yesterday with Dr. Mazer was hands down the most comforting experience I have ever had in a dentist's chair. From the moment I met Dr. Mazer and the kind woman who was assisting him, my anxiety and panic due to past traumas began to dissipate. He was so understanding of what I had gone through, he listened to each and every one of my concerns, and he calmly and thoroughly explained to me that my comfort was his top priority.Throughout the entire procedure he continued asking if I was alright, if I was comfortable, if I was in any pain, and he consitently delivered compassionate and kind words of encouragement as we progressed through the visit. In addition to his gentle touch, his assistant was so calming as she and the doctor explained everything that they were doing, why it was necessary. Once my fillings were completed, he took time to make me feel confident that the work he had done would alleviate the discomfort I had been in prior to my visit. I truly have to say that I have never had such a comforting experience at the dentist.I am a patient for life and I will tell everyone in my personal and professional life just how wonderful visiting the dentist can be.
