I have never had anything but excellent service from my neighborhood Starbucks. One incident that illustrates the extra effort the staff puts into an order was about 2 months ago. My mother had never been to a Starbucks' before and I wanted to "show off" a little. I was already pretty happy to see her and the morning went really well. We went through the drivethru and my mother wanted plain old joe, whereas I wanted something different than what I usually order. I wanted what's called a "Cappuccino Americano Fredo" in Italian, but was having a hard time trying to match up what I knew of the Italian drink to the Starbucks' menu. The cashier and I bantered back and forth for several minutes when she told me to pull forward. We wet and back and forth, it almost felt like I were selecting something of importance (instead of just coffee.) She patiently explained each similar drink, we settled on one that was really close. Mind you, the drivethru was full behind us. When she gave me both drinks, so said it was on the house - she said it was her fault for not recognizing what I wanted. I felt it was entirely my fault, but hey - who's going to argue with great service??
