Review content:
Front desk does a wonderful job of welcoming patients immediately after entering the office. My experience in the exam room was different. There seems to be a disconnect between the hygienist and the dentist. I shared my concern over tooth loss and my hygienist explained to me that I was grinding my teeth at night. Also, after looking at my x-rays, she alerted me that I have two molars that are surfacing in a direction which is a danger to the adjacent teeth. She was very candid, informative and thorough with her segment of my appointment. On the other hand, the dentist, although very kind and gentle, didn't address any of the concerns the hygienist shared with me. And I know everything was entered into my records since she told me she typed them in. Even if they weren't, I expected him to notice the same issues. I was surprised that he didn't discuss any of this. The dental assistant assigned to me seemed to be new, mostly because she seemed unfamiliar with the equipment. While I was already laying in the chair, she needed to flatten it more, but must have pressed all the wrong buttons since I was upside down. And when she was rinsing my mouth, water was spraying all over my face. None of this upset me enough to complain though since I was so happy to learn I had no cavities and that my teeth were healthy overall.
