Review content:
I took my car in to Meineke and was hoping for a good experience, but was mistaken. My car needed a power steering pump and it should have been a simple replacement, but the mechanics should have diagnosed the problems at first before replacing.
What happened is they did replace the PS reservoir (which was broken). However, what was also broken was the PS cooler. What happened is after they changed the PS fluid, the damaged cooler mixed the PS fluid and the radiator fluid. As a result, I've had to flush my radiator/coolant system twice due to the PS fluid gunking up the waterways in the engine.
I know this as I had my car inspected and maintained by a professional ASE certified master mechanic and fixed the problem myself within just a couple hours.
The point? Always double-check and ask questions of the technicians at Meineke in Gilbert. They are not very experienced and ultimately, you pay the price. I brought this up with the manager and he dismissed and refused any responsibility.
Buyer beware.
