I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! City Lights is absolutely the most horrible apartment I've ever had the displeasure of living in. Our problems started DAY ONE. We were rudely awaken by the sound of our upstairs neighbors having extremely loud sex for all hours the night. Unfortunately, this wasn't an abnormal occurance. We complained every single time and the management refused to do anything about it. I started having to sleep with my tv and fan on and earplugs in....and would continue to be woken up!!! The walls are SO thin, you can literally hear people talking. Our neighbors would scream at each other in the middle of the night and still, nothing would be done about it. On top of that, our rent was extremely expensive for the small one bedroom that we rented. We faced the main road and heard fire engines and police cars all night long. We paid extra rent to have a refriderator...which broke twice, leaving all of our new groceries to go bad. We stupidly signed a year lease and after 4 months of no sleeping I demanded that we be let out of our lease early or I would get a lawyer involved. Once that was threatened, we finally got let out of our lease. We moved out a month ago and just now recieved our deposit check...which was promised to arrive after 21 days. We literally scrubbed every inch of the apartment before move out...and still they took out $300 from our deposit...the nerve! My experience was nothing short of horrible and quite honestly left me a little bit traumatized since now I'm always afraid that I will be forced to lie awake listening to my neighbors have sex. I wouldn't live at City Lights again if rent was FREE!
