Hind sight is 20/20 I suppose.....hate these @#$@#%^ I'm in the Military and was deployed to Afghanistan in November of last year. Wife had car problems last month and thought it was the transmission. She made the rounds calling some of the shops in town and settled on this fraud of a company. Not angry with her...she said they offered to have the car picked up, promised to have it diagnosed and back to her in 2 days time. I told her to go ahead but not agree to any repair costs until we talked after they had told her what was wrong. 4 days later I call her and she's crying about them wanting $3200 to fix the transmission in the car. It's a 2000 Ford Explorer 2wd....how could it possibly cost that much to fix???? A lady at the business (not sure what her name was...maybe angela??) tells my wife that they can offer us a military discount and bring it down a whopping $100 dollars......thanks for the thanks of me serving my country huh?? I tell my wife to tell them no way and we'll pick up the car. At that point, she's told that the transmission is already out and it's going to cost $495 to get it back if they don't fix it.....are they for real??? $500 bucks for doing nothing... Now we're hosed.....$500 and another week of moving the car to another more reputable shop and guess what.....the @$%@#$ transmission is fine.....the car needed plug wires?!?!?!?! The engine was missing and causing the car to shudder and bounce.....my wife couldn't tell the difference so trusted what Transmission Corporation of America told her. So instead of paying a little over $3000 for a tune up....it only cost us $700 counting towing and the wonderful fee they charged us. And for the record....it WAS another transmission shop in town that found the bad plug wires and replaced them. Not going to mention their name because of course Transmssion corporation of America will just say it's that shop trashing them. All I can say is do your research and ask around Cons: Crooks, Liars and Theives
