I want to let everyone know what great care and concern was given to me when I had my 1989 Ford truck fixed at Transmission Corporation of America on Clinton Hwy. James the manager was very nice. He checked my truck out and took me into the shop to show me what my transmission fluid in the pan looked like when they took it off. Then he was honest with me about not knowing how much it would be to fix it until they took out the tranmsission and opened it up to see the inside of it. I ok'd them to take it out and open it up to see what's gone wrong inside. He had his secretary give me a ride all the way back to my job in Seymour and did not charge me a penny for her time or gas. When he called me later that day with the price to actually fix the tranny, he did not realize I had called around to see how much the Ford place would charge me and I had also called 3 other tranny shops, 1 in Seymour and 2 in Knoxville. I already had a price from 4 other places before he called me with his price and I was expecting him to say the same thing they did. I was surprised to hear James' price because it was hundreds of dollars LESS than anyone elses prices. He even gave me a national warranty good all over the country. I was really impressed then. He wanted me to come and see the damage so I did. I don't know how those guys do it, but wow what a big jigsaw puzzle it looked like inside that tranny! He took the time to explain how and why my tranny conked out. I told him fine, and go ahead to fix it. It was ready the very next morning! WOW!!!!! That is really the old time service I remember back in my day and you just can;t find it too many places anymore. If you are looking for that old time service you should go to Transmission Corp. of America!!!
Pros: old fashioned service and quality repair
Cons: none
