I took my car to this shop out of convenience. I broke down a few miles away and it seemed like a good idea at the time- the shop that I have been going to for years was closed for the owner's anniversary. It took them 2 days to figure out what was wrong with the car. The problem was my fuel pump- they replaced it, the part and labor seemed reasonable so I was happy. As soon as I left the shop my check engine light came on. I took it to my regular mechanic, he inspected the car and found out that someone had lossened my spark plug wires and a vaccum hose. We also found that my EVAP cannister (which is normally mounted on top of my gas tank) was left dangling by a cord in the driverside wheel well. Normally I am slow to apply blame, but I had my car inspected a few weeks prior and no one had touched it until I took it to this specific meinke. Less than 1 week after I had my car fixed at Meineke, my car broke down- I thought it was out of gas, but my gauge said I had 1/2 a tank. I had a mechanic come out to look at my car, he advised me to take it back to Meinke as the problem was fuel related. The next morning I had it towed back in. 8 hours later they called me and told me I had run out of gas because they had 'misadjusted" the part that tells the car how much fuel is in the tank. They fixed it, no problem. Unfortunately I have a host of emissions systems problems now stemming from their manhandling of my car, they snapped a hose and broke a few sensors on top of my gas tank that I am having to have fixed elsewhere as I no longer trust these people with my car. I'm not saying this place is that horrible, The owner seemed like he knew what he was doing, but maybe he should hire better people to work there. I have had to pay over $800 fixing problems they caused. Pros: really prompt to fix my car the second time, really friendly staff- pricing in line with most other repair shops. Cons: shoddy repair work, didn't reassemble my vehicle components correctly resulting in extra repairs
