There is this little boutique SPA sanctuary nestled away from town here you will love! We had a massage downtown last trip to Avalon -We had a bad experience- and complained at a local restaurant- They said- Go up to the Canyon Hotel. You have to take a shuttle but it is worth it, so we decided to stay at the hotel. This is a great place with a pool. It is quiet, the staff is friendly. It feels vintage- it is not like a resort more than it is a boutique hotel.. and you know this right away because it is priced in alignment with what is offered- looks like it's been remodeled in the last few years. A good value. But hands down, go there for the massage. DO NOT CHECK OUT WITHOUT HAVING AN INTUITIVE STYLE MASSAGE WITH JACQUELYN AND ALLIE. The couples rooms are huge, magical, sparkley, filled with essential oils drifting lightly through- this really nice oil- my skin felt amazing after the scrub. There is a peppermint scalp massage included with the treatment, it is more like a conditioner and my hair was pure silk.. We probably drank a little more than planned the night before and the intense peppermint completely cleared me of my headache. I have had massages everywhere you could imagine- This place is my favorite. There are some good hotel prices for this place if you shop-if you find a deal that suits you grab it. Make your massage reservation and go have a great dinner at the Lobster Trap!
