Review content:
We went to Satay twice today. I've been there before on a previous trip to Flushing and wanted to return. Now I can recommend this Kissena Blvd restaurant to you. First we notice that it is filled with locals who look like they should know about the authenticity of this food; and crowded restaurants usually mean good food.
My group ordered the Hainanese chicken, prawn mee soup, roti telur, and beef chow fun. Everything was gobbled up quite quckly as it tasted so good. Like I said, it was so good we went back for seconds later for a late night supper and ordered pork porridge with egg. This one was a little disappointing because we've tasted better and this one was a bit bland and tastless quite unlike the other dishes, but still a good value.
The restaurant does not have a fancy decor, but the posters sure remind me of Malaysia and the waitresses were experienced and attentive and can speak English as well as cantonese and Mandarin.
Pros: authentic food, tastes just like in Malaysia
Cons: Don't try to park your car around here
