When my husband bought our house several years ago, he was told by a garage door company that he needed over $800 worth of work to get the garage door running smoothly. Having just bought the house and invested in some improvements, he just couldn't undertake that expense at the moment. The guy said he would try and do some quick fixes (we are not sure what he did though). We have nursed the door along for the past five years, and after our last attempt at repairing the door sent us to the emergency room, we decided that a new door was in order.
In comes Mike from AMS. He was so prompt at calling us and coming over (within a couple of hours). He took one look at the door and told us that the door was a great door, in great shape and didn't need to be replaced. He said all we needed to do was have some rollers and hinges replaced and some work done to our tracks...and he could do the work right then! Shortly thereafter, he was done and the bill was $150! We told him what the other company had said we needed done and he said that it just wasn't true.
Mike even showed us easy maintenance that we could do ourselves to keep the door running smoothly!
We would highly recommend AMS! Thanks Mike for saving us from a costly replacement, fixing our door right, and keeping us out of the ER a second time!
